Certification Process as of September 2009

Participants in the Illinois Fire Service Administrative Professionals Executive Support Personnel program as of September of 2009 may apply for certification by first submitting a Work Accomplishment Document (complete with samples of work) to their Fire Chief for validation.

Prerequisites consist of three (3) years fire service experience and successful completion of the Executive Support Personnel program offered through the Illinois Fire Service Administrative Support Personnel (IFSAP) organization.

The OSFM Application for Certification/Validation – Attestation Sheet is available on the OSFM website at http://www.state.il.us/osfm/PSandE/appcerti.pdf or on the IFSAP website under Training.

If eligible, interested individuals may apply for this certification, and would forward the completed OSFM Application for Certification/Validation – Attestation Sheet and the Work Accomplishment Document to current Executive Support Personnel Class Officer - Kathy Adams c/o Lisle Woodridge Fire District,1005 School Street, Lisle, IL 50532. Upon receipt additional required signatures will be obtained and the application will be forwarded to the OSFM for processing.
