Volunteer Opportunities
Each year, many IFSAP Members volunteer their time and talents for a variety of Fire Service Events. Please contact an IFSAP Board member if you would like to assist with any of these worthy events – you will be glad that you did.
“I Am Me”Camp – is the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Burn Camp which is held each year in the 3rd week of June. Volunteers are needed to assist with posters, registration and burn camp activities.
In July, the IFCA Educational & Research Foundation Committee hosts their annual golf outing in order to raise funds for scholarships and grants to award to the Illinois fire service students and educational institutions for undergraduate work, post graduate and vocational education. IFSAP members assist at the golf course that day.
In August each year at the Illinois State Fair - Illinois Fire Service Associations, including IFCA, OSFM, MABAS, IFSAP, IFSI, IFSA and IAFF volunteer to staff the Fire Safety Tent. Many volunteers are needed for this family- friendly tent where fire prevention and safety tips are presented to young and old in creative and entertaining ways.
